President
Purpose
The President is the figurehead of the club, representing it at internal and external functions.
Key aspects of the role
- Act as the figurehead of the club Be the welcoming face of the club, set an example that influences the way the club is perceived and represent the club at internal and external functions.
- Provide advice and assistance as required Act as chair of the committee in the absence of the chair.
- Provide advice and assistance to any of the officers of the committee as required. Act as a member of any sub-committee if required.
Ticketing Officer
Purpose
To devise and implement an impartial system to ensure ticket distribution is done fairly to all members, making sure over time everyone who wants to attend has the chance to do so and keeping accurate records of reserved tickets and payments.
Key aspects of the role
- Register with the RFU Game Management system to receive notifications of club allocations.
- Apply to the RFU for allocations of international tickets.
- Ensure fair distribution throughout the membership.
Sponsorship and Partnership Liaison
Purpose
To manage advertising and sponsorship activity for the club, encouraging companies to support rugby in exchange for promoting their business.
Key aspects of the role
- Manage marketing and sponsorship developments Manage existing sponsor and advertiser relations. Work closely with the
fundraising team to maximize opportunities. - Build new business opportunities Source and approach new potential sponsors; build business cases for possible partners illustrating the potential returns on investment.
- Maintain accounts Maintain the annual income and expenditure account. Work with the committee on the club’s longer term plans and the types of sponsorship that may be required (funds or goods).
